Align_images aligns one or more FITS images to a reference image. It retains the original image shape, replacing all pixels that were shifted off the original frame with zeros.

Usage: align_images [options] FITS files[s]

Program align_images


  --version     show program's version number and exit

  -h, --help    show this help message and exit

  -r  Reference  FITS image (required)

  -v            Verbose output

Example: Align all images named M87_00*.fts in the current folder with the reference image M87_ref.fts. Note that the card must be preceded by a backslash (\).

align_images -r M87_ref.fts M87_00\*.fts
