fitshdr

fitshdr is a legacy OCAAS common-line program to list and edit FITS image headers. To run, type fitshdr myfile.fts. To list options, type fitshdr -h

Usage: fitshdr [options] [files ...]

Purpose: print and manipulate FITS headers.

Options:

  -f name:       name of file containing file names, one per line

  -d name:       delete field of any type of name

  -i name value: add/replace int field name/value

  -l name value: add/replace logical field name/{0,1}

  -r name value: add/replace real field name/value

  -s name value: add/replace string field name/value

  -c value:      add COMMENT field value

  -p:            print [new] header (default)

  -P:            same as -p and prefix each line with filename
