find-transients

Find-transients compares an archive image to a target image (or a list, which can be wild-carded). It matches objects in the target image to those in in the archive image with the same position. It reports any objects whose magnitude has changed by at least minimum magnitude difference  (switch -m, default to 0.10) and minimum  sigma (switch -s). It also reports any objects present in the target image that are not found in the archive image. Note: only objects whose positions are inside a 1 arcmin border of the archive image are considered. 

Usage: find-transients [options] -a archive.fts target.fts

Program find-transients

Options:

  --version            show program's version number and exit

  -h, --help           show this help message and exit

  -a archive image     Archive image [required]

  -d detect threshold  Sextractor detect threshold, sigma [default 3.0]

  -s min. sigma        Min. sigma for variability [default 3.0

  -m min. mag diff     Min. mag. diff. for variability [default 0.10]

  -v                   Verbose output
