I am an Associate Professor of Astronomy/Astrophysics in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
My research is focused on radio and X-ray observations of galactic nuclear
regions, most importantly, the center of our own Milky Way. I am working to
understand the energetic processes occuring in these regions, which include
star formation and magnetic phenomena. Some of my current projects are:
