Professional Life

I am currently a graduate student (post-qualifier) at the University of Iowa in the department of Physics and Astronomy.  My main thesis topic is the Detection of Coherent Emission from Ultra High Energy Neutrino Interactions with the Lunar Regolith which I am studying under the direction of Dr. Robert Mutel.

Before coming to Iowa, I attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire where I majored in both Physics and Mathematics.

Personal Life

JaegerEngagementI grew up in a small town located in north central Wisconsin and moved to Iowa in 2002 for graduate study.  It is here where I met (and later married) a wonderful woman, Ferzan (Akalin) who was also a Physics graduate student and is now enrolled in the MBA PM program.

We just recently celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary.
